Pope Video 9: More Marxist Mush

City of Man

Yes, Marxist. For those who may not be familiar with the term, it refers to a now somewhat obscure theological theory that was popular in Jesuit seminaries in the 1960's.

Yes, mush. And there isn't even any brown sugar on it. Plus it's cold.

Don't blame Francis for not including Christ, God, Church or any other Christian or Catholic reference in his latest video. After all, he only had 63 words to work with.

At least the narrations are getting shorter.

It's sort of like those progressive editions of the Newspeak Dictionary.

What one word are we going to end up with?

Solidarity?

Humanity?

Actually, my bet is on

Me.
Humanity is experiencing a crisis that is not only economic and financial, but is also ecological, educational, moral, and human. When we talk about crises, we talk about dangers, but also opportunities. What is the opportunity? That of solidarity. Come, help me. For everyone to contribute to the common good and to build a society that puts the human person at its center.

  1. Wrong Pope Francis: God should be put at the center not the "human person" as you antiseptically put it.

Perhaps next we should expect recommendations for some experiments on the "human person" to make them more responsive to his big-brotherish direction for solidarity (nu-speak for total control).

    1. Well, probably. But he's getting smaller by the minute. Blink and you might miss him.

  4. Might just as well be a Castro brother speaking. No spirituality and the removal of God at the centre. Dribble.

  5. Man, I couldn't even have made it up if I were parodying. It's just pure Marxism, right down to the happy workers in their factory with the blue overalls. It's unbelievable.

    1. I guess it really does not surprise coming from a liberal Argentine who came of age in the Era of Peron. He's fundamentally a materialist - a materialist who takes his philosophical cues from a vanished political milieu.

    2. The Human Person's Paradise is a very happy place, isn't it?

  6. Even more than Paul VI, he's the true Gaudium et Spes Pope.

Other problematic Vatican II documents can be adjusted and corrected, I think, with a future syllabus. But if there's one that needs to just be round-filed, it's Gaudium et Spes.

    1. Truly. From Gaudium et Spes, #12:
“According to the almost unanimous opinion of believers and non-believers alike, all things on earth should be related to man as their center and summit.”

  7. And what role exactly will Mr. Bergoglio be playing in this workers paradise? He seems a lot better off than us regular box shifters.

  8. "That puts the human person at the center"? My God, he's horrible. How long must we suffer him.
Auughhh...I can't stand these inane lectures and admonitions, nor is it tolerable to see our clergy fawning over him. Have they all gone mad.

  10. Look how happy they all look. It must be great to spend your days with the honor and glory of watching boxes moving on a conveyor belt. Who needs Heaven?

  12. Oh, silly me. I thought the Blessed Trinity was to be put at the center. Boy, do I feel like a dumb Catholic. Pascendi Domini Grigis is all I have to say.

  14. Well he is very clear about his end goal and it is Masonic. Put Man/ human at the centre of all life, not God. It's Catholics who will not see the truth about this pope and so find themselves confused about his intentions.#wakeup
